Zainal Arifin Khalid

Zainal Arifin Khalid is Managing Director and Chief Assessor of NBO Leadership. He brings more than four decades of leadership experience across multinational corporations, board governance and organisational transformation.

Before joining NBOL he held senior local and regional leadership roles with British American Tobacco and Nestlé, spanning general management, IT, shared services and business transformation. Today he advises boards and senior leadership teams on leadership assessment, succession planning, executive development and organisational effectiveness.

He has personally assessed and coached leaders across the public and private sectors, and is recognised for pairing practical business insight with rigorous assessment methodology. He serves as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of GFM Services Berhad, and Independent Non-Executive Director of AFFIN PHEIM Islamic Asset Management and AFFIN PHEIM Unit Trusts Berhad.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from California State University, Chico, and a Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Kentucky.
